Average electricity prices in Spain are falling

Average electricity prices in Spain dropped by 20% on Sunday, November 6.

Average electricity prices for customers with regulated tariffs associated with the Spanish wholesale market will drop by a factor of 20, Specifically, it is 112.75 EUR/MWh).

According to preliminary figures from the Iberian Energy Market Operator (OMIE), the average electricity price in the wholesale market, the so-called "pool", will be €113.48/MWh.

The highest price on Sunday was €155.61 between 6pm and 7pm, while the lowest price of the day was €90.93 between 10am and 11am.

Payments to the gas company must be added to this "total" price, which in this case is slightly negative at -0.73 EUR/MWh.

These fees must be paid by consumers who benefit from the measure, consumers who are regulated (PVPC), or consumers who, despite being in the free market, have index tariffs, or have to renew their contracts.
