Sea swimming allowed in Valencia

valencia
VALENCIA City Council has announced today (Tuesday 5 May) that people will be allowed to bathe in the sea, but only under restricted circumstances. The designated time is between 6am and 10am, the same time as exercise is allowed for adults under the age of 70 and you must be either a member of a swimming club or a professional swimmer. You will have to wear a safety hat and use a small float so that you are visible from the shore and cannot leave any items behind on the beach. Points of entry are also limited to 200 meters from the Marina jetty or in front of the Malvarrosa Pavilion. People must enter the waters on their own and respect social distancing while in the sea. If this trial is successful, then it is expected to be widened out within the next few weeks.
