FOUR Spanish nationals, three of them from Tarragona (Catalonia) were among six people killed after a plane which was in the process of repatriating them back to Spain from Bolivia, crashed in the Amazonian area of Beni.  The air force plane, a Beechcraft B-55, took off from the city of Trinidad at the weekend and was headed for Santa Cruz where the passengers were then due to fly to Madrid. The dead from Tarragona have been named as Francisco Gallego, his partner Dely Salvatierra and her cousin Yandira Velarde. They were part of the Psychologists Without Borders association which is an international group aiming to tackle the issue of gender violence. They had all been stranded in a remote part of Bolivia since the start of the coronavirus crisis. The other three dead were an as yet unnamed Spanish national and the two pilots.
