Holiday giveaway for frontline workers
A hotel chain is giving away a total of a thousand nights free stays in their rooms to people currently at the centre of the fight against the coronavirus, including healthcare professionals, pharmacy workers and others. The Spring Hoteles group are based in the Canary Islands and this is part of their #BestYearEver initiative which somewhat got overtaken by events as all the hotels are currently closed or closing. However, once things have finally blown over, they want to express their thanks to those most closely involved in the battle. The Springs Hoteles went into lockdown when the virus first struck, and a number of British travellers were among those affected before being flown home. Medical staff attended the hotels to treat and test people before returning to their “day jobs” at health centres and hospitals.
