Child’s bike accident upgraded to manslaughter

GuardiaGranCanaria
The victim crashed into a wall in Purchena in March, suffering fatal head injuries which at the time appeared to be a tragic accident. However, the forensics team now believe that the pushbike collided in a full frontal collision with a motorcycle and a 22-year-old man with the youngster was actually driving the bike while the 7-year-old was on the mini-motorbike. The rural property where the investigation was carried out was also found out to have 124 grams of hashish and 28 grams of marijuana ready for sale, the nature of the property complicating the investigation with witnesses contradicting each other. The road in question was said to be very narrow and unsuitable for two vehicles. The police have detained the 22-year-old driver of the bicycle as well as three other people aged 21, 41 and 46 for crimes ranging to those against public health to misleading a police investigation. Further arrests have not been ruled out.
