Hats off to Hatton
BRITISH golfer Tyrrell Hatton celebrated his first US Tour victory on Sunday after winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational, despite carding a two-over-par 74 on the final day at a tough Bay Hill course. He had the luxury of dropping shots thanks to a two stroke overnight lead and the fact that none of the challengers really chased him down. Rory McIlroy had been in second place before teeing off and the bookies favourite to win, but in the event shot a disappointing 76 to drop back to fifth. On the European Tour Spaniard Jorge Campillo snatched the Qatar open from Scotsman David Drysdale on the fifth play off hole. Veteran player Drysdale was devastated after squandering chances for his first ever win after 498 events.
