IF you want to buy a property in the happiest place in the world then you need to make the move to Malaga, according to recent research. The study by the Happiness Research Unit ranked the Costa del Sol city number one globally as people smile there more than anywhere else. 20 different places were measured in the research and showed that 14% of Malaga residents were smiling at any given time. Milan was runner up and another Spanish city, Madrid, came fifth. The average price of a city centre apartment in Malaga is around €2,600 per square metre - may be enough to knock the smile off some people’s faces.
