Child among trafficked women

Prositiution Spain
A search for a young woman who was reported missing in her home country of Colombia, ended with her being located in Cordoba (Andalusia) at the weekend. The Spanish National Police were contacted by their Colombian counterparts who had reason to believe she was in Spain. She had been promised work in a beauty parlour here but had not been heard from since. The operation located her in a property in Cordoba where her and three others, including the minor, were being forced to act as prostitutes against their will. It appears that upon arriving in Spain they had been told to pay around €3,300 for “expenses” and then been made to work as prostitutes to pay off the debt. The Colombian authorities had been alerted by relatives after the woman had managed to take a photo of her location and send it to them. Police in Spain were able to eventually identify the location and carried out the raids on Sunday. Two men have been arrested and charged with kidnapping, illegal detention, human trafficking, corruption of minors and sexual exploitation. They also seized laptops, mobile phones, a quantity of cash and documentation relating to the victim billing her for tickets, transport etc.
