NEW cancer charity Amunt of Denia have announced details of their Solidarity Walk on 7 April. Amunt was formed just over a year ago and the first such event in 2018 saw 1,200 people taking part. Monies raised go towards helping those with the disease in the Marina Alta, especially the social side of things which is so often overlooked. Members of the association presented the details at the Portal de la Marina shopping centre last week, with the centre being one of the main collaborators and sponsors.
The walk will depart from Denia Marina at 11am and follow a route through Marineta Cassiana and Les Rotes, ending at Les Arenetes. If you want to arrive a bit earlier there will be a warm up session held by Gym 21 at 10.30am. You can register on the Som Esport website (www.somesport.com) or the Amunt HQ in the Casa de la Associations on Avenida Campo Torres. All participants will receive a T-shirt, which is provided by Portal de la Marina, plus water and some fruit.
