Road closure raises eyebrows

QUESTIONS have been asked as to why through traffic has been barred from the street the mayor of Benitatxell lives on, just a few days before he stands for re-election. Barriers have cut off Calle Calistros although there has been no technical report submitted and the Local Police have not approved the actions. Mayor Miguel Garcia said that people on the street are “bothered by the cars” but failed to adequately answer where the authority had come from to close the road.
