A GANG, said to be mainly members of the same family, has been arrested in the Murcia region, after bringing them to the area from South America, and forcing them to act as prostitutes.
The National Police say that they made 19 arrests in the Murcia area, and raided two clubs in Murcia City and Cartagena, where the women were made to work as hostesses.
19 victims were freed by the police, with raids made on five addresses in addition to the two clubs, which saw cash, cars, and drugs being seized..
It´s another case where women seeking a better life for themselves reply to internet adverts promising paid travel to Spain and a bogus offer of a job, but end up being sexual exploited with their earnings being taken away from them.
