The town council for l’Alfas del Pi has confirmed that the mediation programme aimed at schoolchildren in the town will be funded again next yearThe specially trained mediators coach kids as young as five in how to manage their emotions, communication skills and any conflicts. The aim is to improve the climate in the classroom and encourage coexistence while stamping out bullying and other issues. The whole school community is involved, senior staff teachers, parents and, of course, the pupils. 66 children used the programme in this school year and the feedback from all parties has been positive.
