Kids say no to harassment

CHILDREN from Javea’s primary schools participated in the second Coexistence Seminar last week which aims to put a stop to the harassment of all types at all levels. Around 500 youngsters from the eldest two years attended along with teachers, local police and a team from the town’s Social and Children’s Services. A talk was given on harassment at school, both violent and verbal, building on an anti-bullying programme that has been in the schools for three years.

On a different note, there was also a demonstration by the town’s Canine Unit which searched for fake firearms hidden in the sports centre by volunteers earlier. The day ended with a special musical piece and finally, the 500 students formed the slogan No to Harassment in Spanish with aerial photos taken by a drone.
