Kids have their say
THE contractors who are rebuilding two parks and play spaces in Javea will have to comply with specifications for the area arrived at by local schoolchildren. They were consulted via the Consell del Xiquets (Children’s Council) and viable proposals within budget were accepted as part of the overall plan. The parks affected are the Thiviers and Freginal and they will be made into three different areas – a play park for small children, another area with more focus on sports and third for the elderly and parents to relax in while the kids play. In arriving at the final specification, the children were given catalogues with a range of play equipment and its cost, allowing them to select the items to be installed.
