SPEEDING motorists in Torrevieja will now have to risk being caught in the act by a new mobile radar unit which will be used by local police officers.
In addition to the existing fixed speed camera points around the city, the local council has agreed to buy the mobile device that will be used by police patrols.
The advantage of the gizmo is that officers will be able to use it in built-up areas of the city centre, where erecting permanent cameras is not practicable.
