SAN JAVIER-area choir, The Philharmonics, struck gold at last weekend´s Convention of the Spanish Association of Barbershop Singers(SABS).
The ladies rehearse ever Wednesday evening at San Cayetano, and scored an impressive 74.8 per cent from the judges to secure their victory at the AR Diamante Beach hotel convention centre in Calpe.
The Los Alcazares-based Spangles Ladies´ Harmony Chorus got the bronze medal with a 70.5 per cent score, their highest ever since they started competing in SABS.
