Stone Age to Space Age
THIS Thursday’s presentation for the Arts Society Marina Alta is by Dr Lars Tharp whose “Beyond earth: From Stone Age to Space Age” will be the subject. This is described as a lecture on man’s affinity with and dependence on clay, from early building materials to wine urns and the ceramic insulation without which electricity could not have been developed. Dr Tharp is a well known media expert and lecturer, a historian, TV presenter and acknowledged expert in ceramics.
