Midnight market

AFTER a hiatus of a few years Javea’s “Mercatap” is making a return this Saturday, 13 April. The indoor municipal market will open its doors at 7 pm for a special evening of gastronomy that also includes music, workshops and kids entertainment including bouncy castles (which will be located in Plaza Celestino Pons just outside the market).  However, food and drink is the focal point and people will be able to try the sort of fresh and high-quality products that the market sells for those looking for an alternative to supermarkets. Bakers, fish stalls, delicatessens and a Moroccan kitchen stand will all be taking part with tapas being available for €2 and drinks for €1.50. The doors close at midnight; contact the town hall for a full schedule of events.
