Yolanda Diez
SPAIN’S Labour and Social Economy Minister, Yolanda Diez, has admitted that there are 300,000 temporary employment regulation files (ERTE) payments still outstanding as of today (14 May). In a TV interview, she said that these are all known about and should be paid by the end of this week. There are still paperwork and other issues around certain issues but those that have simply fallen through the gaps should be paid ASAP. Plans are also in place for people who have received nothing so that that they will not miss out on that basis in what is a unique situation.“We want to avoid scenarios where people have no income whatsoever and are forced to live without some economic dignity” the minister further clarified.
