Kiddy ambulance rolls into Denia Hospital

KiddyAmbulance
THE Red Cross have donated an electric mini-ambulance to Denia Hospital to transport children receiving care. If youngsters are going for surgery or some other procedures, for sanitary reasons only medical staff are permitted past a certain point, meaning family have to stay behind. As this upsets some of the smaller children the remote controlled “ambulance ride” helps relax them before the procedure. The Red Cross Youth group has been donating similar equipment to other hospitals in the region as part of a larger charitable initiative. So far over 15,000 children have benefitted from the scheme and similar ones.
