EL CLASICO TIME

The biggest clash in Spanish sport takes place this Sunday night as Real Madrid welcome deadly rivals Barcelona to the Santiago Bernabeu stadium(9.00pm kick-off), with champions Barcelona regaining top spot after the latest set of matches.

Real suffered a double blow last weekend as Eden Hazard, 29, hobbled off in the second half of of Real's shock La Liga 1-0 loss to Levante on Saturday.

The Belgian only returned to action last week after missing almost three months with a similar injury, and he´s only played 15 matches since moving to Spain from Chelsea.

The defeat meant that Barcelona stayed on top, two points clear of Real, after the Catalans thrashed Eibar, 5-0,  the previous day.

Lionel Messi once again showed his credentials as one of the greatest players of all time, as he put four goals past the hapless Basque region side.

Neutral fans will hope this Sunday´s El Clasico will be a vast improvement on a turgid goalless affair in Barcelona back in December.

With home advantage and a two point gap on the La Liga title holders, the pressure will be all on Real Madrid to deliver.
