British Isis terrorist arrested in Almeria
A British national who carved out a successful career as a rap artist before becoming one of Europe’s most wanted terrorists has allegedly been arrested in Almeria (Andalusia). Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary, who received national radio play as the rapper L Jinny, is said to be among three men arrested after a raid on a property in the region.
Bary had dual British and Egyptian nationality and it is thought he entered Spain via North Africa, possibly on a migrant vessel. Sources close to the investigation have named Bary as one of the three detainees. He had spent time in war torn Syria, becoming increasingly more radicalised and is accused of several war crimes there. He has been sentenced to 25 years in jail by British courts in his absence. He abruptly left his burgeoning music career seven years ago “for the sake of Allah”. The UK Foreign Office has not commented at this time.
