An exhibition of paintings and sculptures by a renowned British artist are currently on display in the Casa de Cultura de L’Alfas del Pi.
The exhibitor, Graham Maiden, who specialises in animation, has spent the last thirty years producing work for a number of film and television studios.
He has worked in London, Manchester, Bristol, San Francisco, Hollywood and Berlin, creating puppets and animation figures for several blockbuster movies, including, 'James and the Giant Peach', 'Mars Attacks!', 'Chicken Run' and 'The Dead Bride'.
The exhibition opened last Friday at an inauguration ceremony attended by Alfaz councillor for culture, Mayte García, and Residents officer, Martine Mertens and the artist himself.
Maiden, who moved to Spain some years ago, lives in Altea and currently produces his artwork at the town’s Lecuona-Taller de Creación.
Visitors to the exhibition, which runs until middle of next month, will be able to view around twenty of the animator’s paintings and ten sculptures will also be on display.
The exhibition will run until May 14that the Casa de Cultura and opening hours for viewing the items on display are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 to 21:00 hours.
On Saturdays, the visiting hours are from 11:00 to 14:00 and from 17:00 to 21:00.
