Busy spring for Akira
THE Akira animal charity has a number of events coming up as we move into spring on the Marina Alta. Tomorrow (Thursday 5 March) is the Quiz Night at Club OPE in Moraira, starting at 7.30 in the evening. Contact Christina on 648 853 019 or secretary@akira-animals.com to see if there are still any places left (entry fee is €10 which includes a buffet supper). The charities next quiz is on 2 April, in the same venue, contact details as above.
Hopefully the weather will stay fair for the Garden Party at Naturalia on 21 March which is scheduled to run from 11am to 4pm. The spring flowers should be in bloom and there is a special 15% discount on all purchases. Entry is free and attractions include various stalls, a puzzle corner, face painting, a tombola and bar as well as teas. There is also live music from “The 3 Tremors” and Pauline McGough. The Naturalia Garden Centre is on Carratera Teulada Benimarco 2,2, Teulada (telephone 965 74 15 22).
Other upcoming events in April include the Adopt a Dog Day in Moraira Dog Park from 11am to 4pm on 5 April and the regular stall at the Antique and Collectors Fair in Salon Canor on 10 April. We will carry details of both events closer to the time.
