Intro:
Tim Govaerts is Associate Director for Blacktower Financial Management Group on the Costa del Sol. Tim has been working in the Financial Services Sector as an International Financial Adviser here in Spain since 2008.
Editorial:
Blacktower was founded in 1986 by our Managing Director, John Westwood in the UK. The business opened its first office on the European mainland in the Algarve ten years later, and Gibraltar and our Spanish offices followed not long after that. Since then, the business footprint has expanded exponentially and we now have a global presence, with offices all over Europe, the UK, and a few years ago we expanded into the Americas as well.
Our service would typically start with a first meeting, during which we go through a person’s current situation and future objectives. From there we would put together a personal plan; taking into consideration the family situation, tax and residency position, any investment experience and how involved the client wants to be, to name a few criteria. We can assist anyone from a young entrepreneur wanting to start saving for retirement to the person already in their retirement who is looking for a cautious plan for the money currently sitting in their bank account, not earning any interest. At the core of everything that we do is maximising growth for our clients whilst reducing their tax position wherever possible.

We have dealt with Dave Diggle since since July 2014 and we cannot recommend him highly enough. With perseverance and... determination he came and sorted a very problematic UK pension release for us. Since then he has looked at our savings and arranged tax efficient bonds for us, whereas our money was making nothing previously due to the poor interest rates, we are now able to have a good income from our investments. Dave is always ready to handle any questions, quickly and efficiently. We like the fact that we see him face to face when needed and we are not dealing with a voice at the end of the phone. He always carries out any dealings we have with him with the utmost professionalism and good humour."read more

Have used Blacktower since arriving in Spain 7 years ago. Our advisor Dave has always been professional and taken time... to understand our needs. The advice given has proved very good for us. He has taken the trouble to keep us very well informed as to how our investments are performing. Highly recommend them for anyone who wants sound and practical financial advice that is tailored to what you require not what gives them the highest fees. Well done Blacktower.read more

Unqualified advisers flogging overpriced tat to line their own pockets. Thank goodness I got a second opinion. Avoid!
